Colin Powell Center
The Colin Powell Center for Policy Studies provides scholarship and fellowship support to high-achieving students at the City College of New York through two programs. These are the Colin Powell Program in Leadership and Public Service and the Center's Student-Led Initiatives.
I. Colin Powell Program in Leadership and Public Service
The Colin Powell Program in Leadership and Public Service is a multifaceted experience that enables CCNY students to develop a deep understanding of pressing policy concerns and public problems and to build the leadership skills to address them. Undergraduate scholars participate in a two-year program; graduate students participate in a one-year program. The mission of the program is to prepare students for lives of public service and active citizenship, and to enable them to apply their skills and talents to addressing issues of public concern.
The Colin Powell Program in Leadership and Public Service is funded through several scholarship streams with distinct thematic focuses. Applicants need fill out only one application to be considered for the program.

II. Student-Led Initiatives
Through the Center's Student-Led Initiatives, the Center support selects CCNY students who participate in community service or assume leadership roles in civic engagement activities. Support for these programs comes from:
