Colin Powell Leadership Fellowships
Colin Powell Fellows participate in the Colin Powell Program in Leadership and Public Service, a multifaceted experience that includes instruction, leadership development, and mentoring. The two-year program enables CCNY undergraduate students to develop a deep understanding of pressing policy concerns and public problems and to build the leadership skills to address them. The Center's goal is to prepare students for lives of public service and to enable them to apply themselves to addressing issues of public concern.
Colin Powell Leadership Fellowships are designed for highly talented City College undergraduates with interests in leadership, public service, and public policy. Preference is giving to rising juniors, but other students are encouraged to apply. Students from all schools and disciplines who have a demonstrated interest in public service are also encouraged to apply.
The fellowship provides substantial scholarship support, $10,000 annually, for two years. The fellowship also provides a stipend to support fellows who participate in a public service-related summer internship.
