Reihan Salam

About Reihan Salam

Reihan Salam is a non-fiction writer and policy analyst. He is the lead writer of National Review Online's The Agenda, a policy advisor at Economics 21, a fellow of the National Review Institute, a CNN contributor, a columnist for Reuters Opinion, and a contributing editor of National Affairs.

Earlier on, he was a Schwartz Fellow at the New America Foundation, an associate editor at The Atlantic, a producer at NBC News, and an editorial researcher at the New York Times and The New Republic.

He is the co-author, with Ross Douthat, of Grand New Party: How Conservatives Can Win the Working Class and Save the American Dream (Doubleday, 2008), a book that diagnoses the challenges facing working- and middle-class families and offers a policy framework for a more prosperous and inclusive economy.

Salam grew up in Brooklyn, graduated from Harvard University in 2001 with a BA in Social Studies, and now lives in New York.
