arielle elmalehsachsArielle Elmaleh-Sachs is a third-year student at the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education. During high school, she served as the student government co-president for two years, and as the founder and co-director of her school's Model United Nations Conference for three years. These activities fostered her interest in leadership and global affairs.  At Sophie Davis, she is global health chair of the American Student Medical Association, and organizes activities such as an AIDS awareness project. During her freshman year, she volunteered at the organization StreetSquash, mentoring middle school students on nutrition; she spent her second year volunteering at a women's health clinic. In her pursuit of social justice in health care, she also serves as the co-president for the Physicians for a National Health Program (PNHP) club, through which she coordinated a trip for student volunteers to work at a Remote Area Medical mission in Nashville. Determined to make a difference, Arielle hopes to combine a master of public health with an expertise in primary care medicine.
