Anastasiya Panas

Anastasiya Panas, a CUNY Baccalaureate student, is pursuing a double major in international and Eastern European studies. A native of the Ukraine, Anastasiya has a particular interest in issues facing Eastern Europeans as a result of the collapse of Soviet Union and the transition to democracy and capitalism. At CCNY, she is president of the Students' Association of International Studies. Anastasiya has been an intern with the Leaders Project of the Howard Gilman Foundation and with the office of City Council Member Leroy Comrie. There she assisted with the preparation of 2010 budget negotiations. During the summer of 2010, Anastasiya, who is also a Rosenberg Humphrey Public Policy Fellow, participated as an intern at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), in CSIS’s Russia and Eurasia Program.
