Da Wi Shin is a biomedical engineering student at the Grove School of Engineering and a student in the Macaulay Honors College at CCNY.  Born in South Korea, Da Wi moved to China when he was 6 years old, and lived there for the following eight years. In 2005, Da Wi came to New York and graduated from Jericho High School in Jericho, New York. Da Wi has volunteered as a translator for numerous Chinese and Korean organizations based in Queens, as well as for the campaigns of Kevin Kim, former candidate for the New York City Council, and Ellen Young, former New York State Assemblywoman. Da Wi plans to combine his career as a biomedical engineer with his multilingualism to bring medical and clinical help to remote and difficult-to-access areas of Asia.
