Ernest Nkansah-Dwamena
New York Life Graduate Fellow, 2010-2011
Ernest Nkansah-Dwamena is a master’s degree candidate in CCNY’s new environmental sustainability program. A native of Ghana, Ernest holds a bachelor’s degree in natural resources management from Ghana’s Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. He also worked as a research assistant and project coordinator for the Ghana’s Council for Scientific and Industrial Research, and helped to coordinate conferences on environmental sustainability. After moving to the U.S. Ernest launched his graduate studies in environmental technology at the New York Institute of Technology. He then transferred to CCNY, where he has been actively involved in CCNY’s Green Task Force and campus organizations including Habitat for Humanity. Ernest plans to pursue a Ph.D. in Environmental Policy Studies and hopes to combine a teaching and research career with one advising major stakeholders and assisting Ghana toward a sustainable future.
