Isatou Sanneh, an international student from Gambia, is a computer science major at CCNY. She graduated from the West African International School in 2006 and then pursued additional studies in her country before moving to New York City in 2007 to further her education. At CCNY, Isatou is involved in several service-oriented clubs, including Engineers Without Borders, Habitat for Humanity, and the African Students Union. Isatou’s goal is become a software engineer, and she plans to use her profession to improve access to clean drinking water, food, and shelter for the citizens of under-resourced nations. Isatou also is deeply concerned with ensuring that children worldwide receive a sound education, and she is interested in using public policy to advance this goal.
