Muhammad Uzair Ahmed, born in Pakistan, came to the United States at the age of 6. He is currently studying biomedical engineering at the Grove School of Engineering. Muhammad says his mother, who raised him and his two younger siblings as a single parent, instilled education as a deeply held value in his life. He takes great interest in business, science, and policy. At the age of 16, he started his own import and export company. With hard work, Muhammad has managed to excel both in school and in his business. He hopes one day to establish a company that provides biomedical devices to Third World countries. With the help of his fellowship, he hopes to learn about policies affecting business and education worldwide.
