NAC Dominican Studies Library and Archives (2/202)
Sponsored by the CCNY Department of Sociology and featuring Alondra Nelson (Columbia University), Ann Mourning (New York University) and Gabriel Haslip-Viera, CCNY.
In the past ten years, there have been great changes in the way that race is viewed sociologically and scientifically. The panelists will tackle these increasingly complex areas by identifying past trends and future directions. The panel will move beyond simplistic representations of race as “non-scientific” and engage the murkier questions of race and science.
