Student Support Resources
Critical life challenges can thwart student success in spite of the student's intellectual prowess, motivation and effective college support. These obstacles are generally related to finances, health, family and relationships. It is recognized that students in crisis need immediate, useful and easily accessible support. Thus, Student Support Resources has been developed, and is a comprehensive social service network to help link students to appropriate services on campus.

The AccessAbility Center (AAC) facilitates equal access and coordinates reasonable accommodations and support services for City College students with disabilities while preserving the integrity of academic standards. AAC strives to increase disability awareness among members of the community and ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, Amended in 2008 and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. Students who would like to request accommodations need to self-identify to AAC by scheduling an appointment with a counselor, completing an intake form, and submitting disability-related documentation.

Campus Ministry
City College seeks to educate the soul as well as the mind. Campus Ministry promotes spiritual growth and faith formation on and off campus. The College's mission is taken to heart in all that is done at Campus Ministry; its programs are created to encourage learning, to care for the whole person, and to foster the service of faith and the promotion of justice. Counseling Center
In line with City College's vision of access to excellence, it is the mission of the Counseling Center to provide high quality counseling services, free of charge and accessible to all City College students. The Counseling Center provides short-term, student-centered, and culturally informed psychological services from a modern and integrative theoretical orientation, treating all students with respect and in recognition of their unique strengths. The Center is a liaison to the community, linking appropriate students to more intensive and longer term services as needed. Counseling additionally educates the College community and works towards wellness and prevention in its outreach. The goal of the Counseling Center is to assist students in the resolution of any barriers that may hinder their ability to achieve their highest academic potential, while ensuring their mental health needs are met, regardless of ability to pay.Location: Marshak J-15
Crisis, Assessment, Response and Education (CARE) Team
The CARE team offers assistance and education to the CCNY community in regards to concerning behaviors of reported students. Faculty, staff and students are all able to contact the CARE team for assistance. The CARE team intervenes and attends to crises on campus, assesses students who may be in violation of CCNY policy and procedures, and works to ensure the safety of all members of the CCNY community.Emergency Grants and Loans
Student Support Resources is able to help students apply for small emergency grants for one-time emergencies that may interfere with their academic careers. Emergency grants may be used due to emergency situations such as job loss, fires and destruction of property, theft, and medical bills that students are unable to pay. Students must be in good standing at the college and owe no money to the school in order to qualify for an emergency grant. Not all students who apply who meet such criteria qualify for emergency grants, but SSR is happy to help students apply and determine their eligibility. While SSR grants are not available to help students with tuition, loans are available for this purpose. SSR is pleased to be able to help students in financial emergencies that may otherwise interfere with their academic success.Off Campus Housing
The Office of Off Campus Housing provides referrals and information about available options for students who are seeking housing off-campus. Referrals include long and short term accommodations. The Office of Off Campus Housing also offers services for Housing providers. Management companies, brokers and students who want to list available apartments or rooms are able to submit Housing Provider's Application to be considered for listing. Referrals to off-campus housing providers do not constitute an endorsement or guarantee by The College of any housing offers. All contractual arrangements are the sole responsibility of the student and the housing provider.Location: Wingate Hall, Room 107
On Campus Housing - The Towers
The Towers is CCNY's first and only residence hall, located on the corner of West 130th Street and St. Nicholas Terrace on the South Campus. The Towers provides accommodations for 589 students and consists of 164 fully-furnished, air-conditioned suites, all of which have a kitchenette that includes a cooktop stove, a microwave, a full-size refrigerator, a sink, cabinets, and countertop space. The Towers offers wireless internet service throughout the entire building, a multi-purpose seminar room, a fitness center, a convenience store, a central laundry facility, a community kitchen, and a community lounge area with a billiards table. All residents are required to have an access card for entry at the 24-Hour Security Desk, and there are closed-circuit security cameras located throughout the building. CCNY operates a shuttle/escort van service to provide residents with easy access to the North Campus and local subway stations. The Residence Life Staff, which consists of Resident Assistants and professional staff, provides supervision of the building in accordance with CUNY/CCNY policies and procedures. Residence Life also strives to create community through educational and social programming and serve as an invaluable resource to all residents. With easy access to classes, study groups, the library, campus activities, and a community within The Towers, living on-campus helps students make the most of their college experiences.Location: 401 West 130th Street, New York, NY 10031
Soldier's Project
City College is committed to serving those who have served our country. With more troops returning from overseas and many already enrolled in the college, mental health issues among Veterans such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Depression are well documented to be on the rise. Student Support Resources is pleased to offer free and confidential psychological counseling to our Veterans through the Soldier's Project, which sponsors a licensed psychologist unaffiliated with CCNY otherwise, to best serve its Veterans' mental health needs.Single Stop
Student Support Resources is pleased to announce that Single Stop services will be offered at CCNY twice monthly in the NAC Rotunda. Single Stop is a one-stop resource that helps students determine their eligibility and apply for important benefits such as Medicaid and public assistance. Student Health Services
Student Health Services is committed to delivering quality primary health care to a diverse student population.Clinical services provided by a full time registered nurse and part-time medical providers are free and confidential to all currently enrolled CCNY students. Medical services include: physical exams with laboratory services including a wide range of blood testing, HIV/STD screenings, immunizations, over-the-counter and prescriptions for medication, GYN services, including pregnancy testing and counseling, and health promotion activities. Student Health Services also arranges for free on site HIV Testing, Smoking Cessation Tabling, Information regarding Health Insurance Options, and Peer Health Educator lead Sexual Health Workshops and Healthy Monday Tabling.Location: Marshak J-15
