The purpose of the City SEED grants program is to provide internal funding for the initial stages of new interdisciplinary and collaborative work that will

1. generate data to facilitate the development of external grant applications to government agencies or private foundations by the investigators (either together or independently), or

2. facilitate the development of new and novel directions of creative work and scholarship that will enhance the national and international reputation of CCNY
