FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Psychology Department of the City College of the City University of New York invites applications from licensed APA-accredited neuropsychologists for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the rank of assistant professor to begin September 2013. The Psychology Department is a vibrant, diverse department serving over 1000 undergraduate majors, over 100 masters students in both a General Psychology and Mental Health Counseling program, and participating in two doctoral programs, an APA-accredited clinical psychology program and a cognitive neuroscience program. The ideal candidate has a primary interest and clinical experience in the assessment of psychiatric and neurological disorders with a demonstrated history or interest in interdisciplinary translational collaboration to complement current departmental areas of research focus, which include Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Substance Use Disorder, and Borderline Personality Disorder. Interest in developmental learning disabilities would also be welcome. We seek a candidate with a record of clinical scholarship around issues facing minority and underserved populations. Successful applicants will welcome participation in the many programs the Department offers and the opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration within the department, and with the social medicine (Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education) and biomedical engineering (Grove School of Engineering) programs, as well as with local community clinics and hospitals.
