Primary Faculty 
Professors Chad Jenkins, Shaugn O’Donnell, and Jonathan Pieslak

The faculty of the Popular Music Studies Track have published extensively on topics related to popular music, including journal articles in Music Theory Spectrum, American Music, Popular Music, The Journal of Musicological Research, Notes, and book chapters in Perspectives on the Grateful Dead, Critical Writings, The Beatles' Revolver and the Transformation of Rock and Roll, “Speak to Me”: The Legacy of Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon, All Graceful Instruments: The Contexts of the Grateful Dead Phenomenon, and others.

All three members of the primary faculty are active players; Professors Jenkins and O’Donnell on electric guitar, and Professor Pieslak on electric bass.
