The “I” Desk (Information Desk), located in the NA lobby, gathers verbal and written information from all departments and programs on campus and disseminates it to students, staff, and visitors. Applications, bulletins and other forms pertinent to admission and registration within The City College are also available at the “I” Desk. Other services include courtesy telephones for on-campus calling, document management services, computer stations and much more.
Display areas include information about daycare, tutoring, computer labs, general campus directories, special events, academic schedules, and directions to on and off- campus locations. The “I” Desk staff will answer questions, make inquiries and provide visitors with excellent customer care. The staff at the “I” Desk does not advise or counsel students regarding curricular endeavors.
Student E-mail Helpline
To provide information in a timely fashion to current and prospective students, the Student E-mail Helpline, under the supervision of the Office of Student Services (OSS) and staffed solely by students, is available to receive e-mail queries at any time, seven days a week. The student staff responds to inquiries in the order they are received Monday through Friday. They may answer questions regarding academic and admissions procedures, college regulations, general program and course requirements, class schedules, curricula, etc. Those inquiries requiring responses from College officials are forwarded to appropriate faculty, staff, or administratorsThe Student email@example.com.

The Wellness and Counseling Center (WCC) is a free and confidential campus resource for all CCNY students. The WCC provides clinical and psychological services.
Clinical services are provided by a full time Registered Nurse. Services provided include wellness programs, general health care, TB/PPD Testing, and vaccines such as HPV, Meningitis, Hepatitis A and B, Tetanus and MMR.
The Wellness and Counseling Center assures compliance with New York State Public Health Laws 2165 and 2167 by obtaining proof of immunity to measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) and for meningococcal meningitis.
The mission of psychological services is to help students understand their problems and themselves, achieve satisfying relationships, set personal goals, and make effective and satisfying career and life choices through individual counseling, crisis intervention and direct referrals to community mental health providers. Psychological counseling sessions are free and confidential.

The AccessAbility Center (AAC) is responsible for all services for students with disabilities, ensuring equal access to the college curriculum and supporting student success. Students enrolled at CCNY who have any kind of disability (i.e. physical, learning, psychological or medical) are encouraged to register with AAC as early as possible to insure that all services can be extended in a timely manner. To receive services, students must provide appropriate documentation of a disability from a qualified health provider or agency. AAC works with students to provide appropriate accommodations, adjustments, and support services, including academic skills workshops, tutoring, support groups, class work facilitation, and assistive technology services.
Early planning is essential for many of the resources, accommodations, and adjustments provided. Contact us at the earliest possible date so we can provide the appropriate assistance.

The Office of Student Services (OSS) provides programmatic and informational support to help students further their academic and personal growth goals. This office serves as a clearinghouse for the Division of Student Affairs where students are given help or guidance with different types of problems, i.e., how to navigate the College bureaucracy to resolve an academic or personal problem; where to get counseling within and without the institution; how to locate the College’s programs and resources that deal with a broad range of students’ financial and social concerns; and similar issues that students may encounter. The goal is to provide clear and accessible information to allow students to feel empowered in their interactions with the institution.
OSS administers the Student Off-Campus Housing Referral Service.

Students in need of housing must complete a Student Housing Application for appropriate referrals to housing providers. Referrals to off-campus housing providers do not constitute an endorsement or guarantee by the College of any housing offers. All contractual arrangements are the sole responsibility of the students and the housing provider.
Emergency grant and loan applications are available here. Richter Tuition Loans of up to $500 are available to help qualified students complete tuition payments. The maximum loan amount is $500. All loans must be repaid within the same semester they are given.
The Director of OSS is also the Coordinator of the Student Conduct Unit. Written complaints about student conduct violations from faculty, staff and students are received and adjudicated here.
Free Shuttle and Student Security Escort Service
The College offers free bus service between the campus and the IND subway stop at 145th street and St. Nicholas Ave.
Also, a shuttle service runs the Campus Loop which runs from the Towers to 125th street and St. Nicholas Avenue subway station (called the Campus Loop), then through the campus along Convent Avenue and then back to the Towers (called the Campus Loop).
Both bus and shuttle loops run approximately every fifteen minutes.
The shuttle service runs non-stop.
The IND bus runs from 7:15am-9:45pm.
Mondays-Fridays 9:45pm. to 7:00am
Weekends/Friday 9:45pm. Until Monday 7:00am
Intersession 8:00pm. to 7:00am

Students who need a security officer to escort them to the subway after the shuttle-bus stops running, can call the Office of Security at 6911.

The office is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, as is the security station in the NA lobby.
Suspicious persons or situations or any emergency situation should be reported to the Public Safety and Security Department Hotline at (212) 650-7777. The office may also be contacted at (212) 650-6911 for non-emergency matters. Emergency call boxes are located throughout the campus and in most elevators. In case of fire or a chemical spill, students should immediately exit the building and seek fresh air, then contact the Public Safety Department by dialing 7777 or using an Emergency Call Box.

When you pay your tuition, you may also pay the parking fee at the Bursar’s Office; then present the Bursar’s receipt for parking to the Office of Security, NAC 4/201, to obtain your parking permit.
